My Fashionistas Reign...and Rain

It finally broke 50 degrees this week so of course we broke out the swimsuits!

It rained a lot this week.  Warm enough to go outside, but too wet to have much fun for long...

What do we do when we can't find warm weather?  We go stay in a hotel of course.  Chadly's working hardcore these next couple of weeks and there are no campgrounds nearby so we'll have to rough it with an indoor swimming pool, complimentary breakfast, reliable wifi (hopefully), and daily maid service.  It will be rough, but if we all stick together I'm sure we'll manage.  Plus, the hotel room may even seem BIG in comparasion to our home on wheels.  Did I mention they have a restaurant that serves gourmet pizza?  We may never leave the hotel...

This is my princess finding her treasure.  Notice the green rainboots.  She actually changed IN to these to complete the ensemble.  Well, I have no fashion sense, so why would she?
Que sera, sera...
She looks beautiful to me!
She is our little performer.  She's a really good actress.  Too good.  I think we're in trouble.

I'm pretty sure Mags has a future in something creative ...she's always be-jeweled, be-dazzled, and be-wildered...

But, with her Nanny, all things are possible...

Mags tried out her Weeride.  Big fun!  She loved it and looked so cute, don't you think?

Emmy will be mastering her balance bike in no time.  Big girl bike here we come!  I think our next step is a trail-a-bike.  I can't wait until Annabelle is big enough for a bike trailer...lots of fun on family bike rides then!

We went to Presque Isle State Park which is really cool and basically attached to our campground.  They have these really cool floating summer houses out in this cove.  They have a line of little row boats, one for each house...which is pretty cool, right?  Until you have to move a couch...

And we saw some wild turkeys - a first for me!
Why DID the turkey cross the road?
(in this case they saw a hot guy across the way - apparently it's mating season - we didn't stick around for the show)

The very cold, very long walk to the (kind of boring) lighthouse.

And I finally joined them for a sunset walk on the beach.  I was missing out.

Funny stuff.

Cute stuff.

Cute AND funny stuff.  And...no hands!
Yep.  She was a big girl for like 4 or 5 seconds.

The girlies bunkin' it up.  Notice the yellow rainboots.  These haven't come off her feet in 2 weeks.  Literally.  She sleeps in them.  I have to sneak in and pry them off of her after she's snoozing at night.
Sweaty little feet...

Chad's office:
And his Other office:

When in doubt, make a tent!

We finally made it to the zoo on our last day in Erie.  It was the first day it was nice enough to go.  It warmed up to a whopping 57 degrees today, so we took full advantage of it.  It rained sporadically, but we can't have everything.  I'd love to live like I were on vacation all the time, but that's just not realistic...uh...

Annabelle, doing what she does best.  Well, one of the three things she does best.
